Glee Season 2 Episode 16 "Original Song"

Open with the Warblers performing "Misery" by Maroon 5 and then proclaiming it Will be Their opening number at regionals. Afterwards Chris Colfer Tells Kurt Darren Criss Blaine he's getting too many solos. Rachel Lea Michele sings a song to Finn Cory Monteith about being an only child. He likes it better than the headband song, but thinks Rachel is not exploring her real pain.

Diana Agron Quinn is interested in being Prom Queen and thinks continuing her relationship with Finn (a Shoo-in for Prom King) is her only chance. Rachel and her talent are all that's standing in her way and her plan is get as close to Rachel as possible. Warblers at the next council, a weepy Kurt Tells Them his bird has died. He says he would like to honor the bird with a song and performs the Beatles' "Blackbird." Blaine seems a moved by the song.

My Chemical Romance New Directions has toll They can not use Their choice for regionals, entirely a lie Because of Sue Jane Lynch toll the band involving MAP. Quinn supports Rachel's idea for an original song. The plan is for everyone to take a stab at writing. Santana Naya Rivera is still upset That Brittany Heather Morris Kevin McHale Artie picked over her and seems a to be planning a heterosexual song with Sam Chord Overstreet out of spite. Sue starts picking on the two former Cheerios.

Warblers at the next council, Blaine says he does not think they can beat New Directions Their lead song without changing to a duo. Inspired by the bird's death, he thinks Blaine Should sing with Kurt and does not want an audition process. Santana sings a song She wrote for Sam called "Trouty Mouth." The song is dedicated to making fun of Sam's mouth and he's upset. Puck Mark Salling performs a song he wrote for Lauren called "Big Ass Heart." Neither Appear to be keepers.

Quinn starts talking to Finn about Prom. Because of Rachel's fragile state, he thinks They Should wait until after regionals to announce Their relationship. Rachel overhears this. Blaine Suggests to Kurt They perform "Candles" by Hey Monday. He Tells Kurt During "Blackbird" he realized he has feelings for him. They start kissing. Mercedes Amber Riley sings her song, "Hell To The No." Will Matthew Morrison likes it but still does not think they've found anything worth of competition. He wants Them to get in touch with Their Pain.

Sue is continuing to antagonize members of New Directions. She is making Them feel like losers. Will thinks That Should Be Their motivation. He Suggests a song title: "Loser Like Me." Quinn admits to Rachel That She and Finn have been together for Several weeks. They argue about Their background with Finn. A weepy Quinn Tells Rachel That she 's never going to be Able to write a song if She keeps looking for a happy ending. A sobbing Rachel leaves to write the song on her own. We see her crying in her room as She works on a song called "Get It Right."

Just before regionals, Sue admits to Will She forged the letter from My Chemical Romance. She is brimming with confidence and Tells She has tailed him a set-list specifically for the judges. At regionals We meet the judges, TV anchor Rod Remington, Tea Party candidate and home-schooler Tammy Jean Albertson Kathy Griffin and a former exotic dancer / current nun named Sister Mary Constance Loretta Devine. Sue's Aural Intensity is up first. They sing a Peppy's version of "Jesus Is a Friend of Mine."

Backstage, Kurt is incredibly nervous before Dalton Academy goes onstage. Blaine and Kurt perform "Candles" with the Warblers Them backing up. They follow up with Blaine leading That Them in "Raise Your Glass" by Pink. New Directions starts with Rachel's "Get It Right." In the crowd, Kurt turns to Blaine and seems a happy Glee is doing original songs, but the crowd enjoys her performance. That They follow up with an ensemble version of Their "Loser Like Me" which the crowd absolutely loves.

During the judge Deliberation, Albertson is very opposed to the Warblers and New Directions for Reasons ridiculous. Constance and Remington are much more open. New Directions win regionals. The Warblers seem matter-of-fact about the whole thing but the presenter Sue punches in the face. Kurt Blaine helps bury his bird. They Consider themselves winners for having found each other.

Will Tells the kids he would like to start honoring a team MVP after each competition. For regionals, she won by unanimous vote. She gets up and in front of Them and starts crying, thanking Them for making her feel special.
